Uniforms

| Dark blue Cub Scout shirt (1st to 3rd Grade) or optional khaki for Webelos (4th and 5th Grade). The Pack recommends a short sleeve Cub Scout shirt and to buy it big so it will last several years. You’ll probably need to try it on, as they tend to run small. You can wear a long sleeve T-shirt underneath your scout shirt on cold days. Note if you are in 4th or 5th grade, you may buy the khaki Boy Scout shirt with dark blue loops for the shoulders. | |
| Cub scout pants or blue jeans or blue pants. You can wear cub scout, navy blue or blue jean shorts when it is hot outside. Note that the official uniform requires Cub Scout pants or shorts. 4th and 5th Grades wearing the khaki shirt wear the olive pants or short. |
| Cub Scout Hat – 1st graders have a tiger on the hat, 2nd and 3rd graders have a wolf on the hat; 4th and 5th graders have a Webelos symbol (W); they are usually marked on the inside tag. The hats come in two sizes. | |
| Belt. The belt is needed to hold your fob. A Cub Scout Belt is optional but many of the cubs have one to hold their sports and academic belt loops (I’ll tell you more about belt loops at a Pack meeting). | |
| Neckerchief and slide; the Pack gives you your neckerchief (orange for tiger, yellow for wolf, blue for bear and plaid for webelos). You can make or buy a slide. Often you'll make a slide or slides at a den meeting or activities such as the Cuboree. | |
| Patches for your uniform; the American Flag (usually on uniform when you buy it), DelMarVa Council patch, numerals 2 and 9 (Pack numbers). You’ll also need a patch with your den number but you won’t know your den number until after the first Pack meeting. Optional patches which may be worn on the uniform are the World Crest, religious award, World Conservation Award, Quality Unit Award and a temporary patch such as from the Cuboree. The Webelos wear their Webelos Colors which are given to them by the pack and hold their activity pins. |
View the uniform inspection form or see "Cub Scout and Webelos Scout Insignia Guide " for where to sew the patches on or see the unofficial uniform guide. Warning, do not glue the Quality Unit Award or temporary insignia on the uniform as they change yearly.

Above in order are the DelMarVa Council Patch, Pack 29 numerals, Den number,
World Conservation Award, World Crest, Webelos Colors, Religious Knot for
youth. See Awards for more information on World
Conservation Award and Religious Knots.
This is patch arrangement for left pocket of Blue shirt.
The Pack will give you a neckerchief and your Cub Scout handbook. You can buy or make a slide to hold your neckerchief around your neck. Sometimes we make slides at a den or pack meeting. That medal slide slides off the neckerchief easily so bend back the tabs or use a rubber band to secure it.
Trivia – old scouting uniforms never go out of style. If someone saved it,
your cub may wear his Dad’s, Grandfather’s, or other relatives uniform.
The uniform has only one temporary patch on the right pocket. Other temporary patches may be sewn on a bragging vest or blanket.
Adult LeadersAdult leaders wear khaki shirt and olive pants or shorts. Women also have the option of wearing a culottes type skirt or if they are den leaders the yellow blouse with navy pants, shorts or culottes. Adult leaders may wear bolo ties such as the one with Garfield, or a leader neckerchief - there are specific ones with yellow trim for Den Leader and Webelos Den Leader.
Patches for your uniform: the American Flag (usually on uniform when you buy it), DelMarVa Council patch, numerals 2 and 9 (Pack numbers), patch with your den number if you are a den leader, your position patch such as Den Leader, Cubmaster, Committee Member. After you are trained, you'll sew on your trained patch below your position patch. Patches which may be worn on the uniform are the World Crest, Quality Unit Award, a temporary patch such as from the Cuboree and the knots you have earned such as awards for Den Leader and Cubmaster. There are also knots if you earned a religious award, Arrow of Light or Eagle as a scout. View the female or male uniform inspection form or see "Cub Scout and Webelos Scout Insignia Guide " for where to sew the patches on or check the unofficial uniform guide. Warning, do not glue the Quality Unit Award or temporary insignia on the uniform as they change yearly.
